Of the many available paths, it is your choice which one you take. At any given moment, there are at least two paths before you. Choose the first path and you direct your efforts and energy in achieving your goals; choose the other and you become just a passive passenger on the river of life: "If you don't know where you're going, any road will get you there."

Often, you face a gap between what you have and what you want. Your view regarding these "challenges" will, more than the challenge itself, control whether you succeed. If you view your challenge as an obstacle, then you will be hard-pressed to find a solution because doing so means you already view it as an obstacle to get over instead of a challenge to move through.

Time is everything, and every second counts so maximize every bit of it and you will succeed everything you do!

Cramming as a method of learning.

Proper academic preparation usually eliminates the need for cramming. But if you ﬁnd yourself unprepared for an exam, sometimes cramming can be an unfortunate necessity. Resist the temptation to try to learn everything. It’s too late for that now. Instead, comb through your readings and lecture notes for only the essential facts, write them in your own words on summary sheets, and then use as much of your time as possible for remembering them.

The purpose of these Educational guides is to provide relevant material for each subject in O-level education here in Tanzania. The first edition contains civics, history, geography, biology, chemistry and physics. The content is ordered by syllabus topic and contains relevant definitions and solved problems as they have appeared on NECTA examinations. Though it is impossible to predict NECTA topics and questions, I feel that a student who knows all of the information provided here can get a B in the subject if they are also able to understand English and have competency in the subject material. This is not meant to be a primary resource, but rather it is intended to help guide students and teachers towards relevant topics and questions for study and discussion. These materials are for students taking form 4 examinations. Some form 1 and 2 topics are not covered, since they have not appeared on the examinations.

The expectation of these learning materials is to provide a base of knowledge that each student will have by the time they come to take their national examinations. In class and in further study, topics and questions can be expanded upon to provide the student with the competency he requires to be successful on his national examinations. Students are encouraged to look at future topics before they are taught in class, so that the teacher can spend class time explaining difficult material, rather than writing definitions or notes on the board.

HESLB - THE NAMES OF THOSE WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO CORRECTION.

HOW TO BECOME A SUCCESSFUL STUDENT

Following closure of the loan application cycle for 2015/2016 Academic Year, the Higher Education Students’ Loans Board (HESLB) has embarked on verification and analysis of the applications. In the process, a total of 7,788 loan applications have been found to be missing some vital information. The missing information includes:
• Applicant’s Signatures,
• Applicants’ Photos,
• Birth Certificates,
• Guarantor’s Photos,
• Guarantor’s Signatures,
• Unsigned applications by Local Authorities,
• Unsigned applications by the Magistrates,
HESLB hereby calls upon loan applicants for academic year 2015/2016 whose applications have been found to have some faults to physically come to HESLB offices on Plot No. 8, Block No. 46 Sam Nujoma Road, Mwenge - Dar es Salaam for corrections of their loan applications.
The deadline for corrections of the shortcomings is 11th September 2015.
NB: The Board is cautioning loan applicants to be careful with some unscrupulous individuals who might take advantage of this opportunity to make financial demands.

HESLB: Tumejipanga kukusanya Tshs 8 bilioni kwa mwezi

Bodi ya Mikopo ya Wanafunzi wa Elimu ya Juu (HESLB) imesema imeanza kutekeleza mikakati mipya ya ukusanyaji wa mikopo ya elimu ya juu kutoka wadaiwa ambayo itaongeza wastani wa ukusanyaji wa Tshs 2.6 bilioni za sasa hadi kufikia Tshs 8 bilioni ifikapo mwezi Julai mwaka huu.

Kaimu Mkurugenzi Mtendaji wa HESLB Bw. Jerry Sabi ameyasema hayo leo (Jumatano, Machi 30, 2016) jijini Dar es Salaam alipokuwa akiongea mbele ya Kamati ya Kudumu ya Bunge ya Huduma za Jamii iliyotembelea ofisi za Bodi hiyo zilizopo Mwenge.

“Hadi mwezi uliopita (Februari, 2016) tulikuwa tunakusanya wastani wa shilingi bilioni 2.6 kwa mwezi, lakini sasa tumeongeza kasi na mikakati mipya ambayo itawezesha kukusanya shilingi bilioni 6 mwezi Aprili na shilingi bilioni 8 ifikapo mwezi Juni mwaka huu,” amesema Bw. Sabi aliyeteuliwa kushika nafasi hiyo na miezi miwili iliyopita.

MABADILIKO YA SHULE/TAHASUSI KWA WANAFUNZI WALIOCHAGULIWA KUJIUNGA NA KIDATO CHA TANO NA VYUO VYA UFUNDI MWAKA 2015

Ofisi ya Waziri Mkuu Tawala za Mikoa na Serikali za Mitaa (OWM- TAMISEMI) ilitangaza majina ya wanafunzi wa kujiunga na Kidato cha Tano na Vyuo vya Ufundi mwaka 2015, tarehe 30 Juni, 2015. Baada ya majina haya kutangazwa, OWM-TAMISEMI imepokea maombi mengi toka kwa Wazazi/Walezi na Wanafunzi ya kuomba kubadilishiwa Shule na/au Tahasusi kutokana na sababu mbalimbali. OMW-TAMISEMI imeyachambua maombi haya kwa kuzingatia sababu zilizotolewa na waombaji, uwepo wa nafasi kwenye shule walizomba na ufaulu wa mwanafunzi aliyeomba kubadilisha tahasusi.

Kwa wanafunzi ambao majina yao hayajaonekana kwenye orodha hii na wale waliobadilishiwa shule/tahasusi mnahimizwa kwenda kuripoti kwenye shule mlizopangiwa na ikumbukwe kuwa tarehe ya mwisho ya kuripoti ni tarehe 31 Julai, 2015. Kushindwa kufanya hivyo, nafasi zao zitagawiwa kwa wanafunzi waliokosa nafasi.
